This program provides an overview of safe systems of work at heights using the risk management hierarchy of controls. It provides competency to identify the hazards associated with heights and implement basic site procedures in order to work safely at heights.

  • CPCCCM2010B Work safely at heights (optional unit)


Optional unit CPCCCM2010B Work safely at heights, participants must have attained the unit of competency CPCCOHS2001A Apply OHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry and produce evidence of their competency. Candidates who do not hold CPCCOHS2001A will still be assessed for the RIIWHS204D unit.

Entry Requirements

Participants must ensure they do not suffer from vertigo (dizziness at heights) or acrophobia (fear of heights).
