Over-snow Vehicle (Ski-Doo) Operations
This program provides the skills and knowledge required to safely operate and over-snow vehicle, including the systematic, safe and efficient control of all vehicle functions and the effective management of hazardous conditions. This applied to use for transportation of personnel and/or resources in snow covered environments or terrains.
DURATION: 1-2 days (1 day reassessment program also available)
UNITS OF COMPETENCY
The program is aligned to meet the following units of competency:
- PUASES015A Operate over-snow vehicle
There are no formal pre-requisites for this program. However, participants are required to have a current valid drivers licence and an over-snow licence issued by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
Also, due to the nature of the program participants are required to be previously trained and experienced in alpine survival protocols.
